Devonport

Wins Mies Family Cup

Devonport looked the goods in their 2 group games and made the final with wins over Launceston City No. 2 Team & Prospect Knights with a greater goal difference than the unlucky Launceston United who finished also with 2 wins.

In the other group Ulverstone topped the pool with strong wins over NTC & Northern Rangers.

All games were played in good spirits under very warm conditions and the final was no exception, Devonport & Ulverstone were locked together at nil all after full time and the ensuing penalty shoot out saw Devonport stand strong knocking 4 past Ulverstone's keeper with Ulverstone missing one over the crossbar and the Devonport keeper making a fine save. The final score line Devonport 4 d Ulverstone 2.

The winner of the Mies Family Most Valuable Player award voted for by the referees was Adam Conkie from the Ulverstone Club.
